Instant Pot vs Crock Pot – what’s the difference?
While a crock pot cooks slow and essentially hands-off, the Instant Pot has multiple functions like sautèing, steaming, warming, and pressure cooking (which cooks food very quickly).
What shouldn’t I cook in a slower cooker?
You generally shouldn’t cook frozen food, pasta, rice, seafood, lean cuts of meat, delicate vegetables, or cheese in a slow cooker because they can become dry or mushy.
When using chicken breasts, be sure not to overcook.
What is the difference between a slow cooker and a crock pot?
Crock Pot is a popular brand of slow cooker, which is the generic term for the cooking device, which uses moist heat to cook food slowly over a long period, and the two terms are often used interchangeably.
