- Bacon – Crispy bacon pieces add smoky flavor that everyone loves! Try my oven-baked bacon recipe for perfectly crispy pieces.
- Cheddar cheese – Shredded cheddar adds cheesy flavor. Choose mild, medium, or sharp – whichever is your favorite.
- Cream cheese – Make sure the cream cheese is room temperature so that it mixes well with the other ingredients.
- Mayonnaise – For a creamy filling and added dose of flavor, plus a bit of mayo helps loosen the filling so that it’s easy to spread.
- Sour cream – Also helps to make the filling spreadable, plus sour cream adds even more tangy flavor and creaminess.
- Ranch seasoning – One packet, or about 3 tablespoons, of ranch seasoning is needed. Buy a packet from the store or try my recipe for homemade ranch seasoning!

Recipe Step by Step
I am going to highlight a few key steps in the recipe here, but make sure to jump down to the recipe card for comprehensive instructions on how to make Chicken Bacon Ranch Pinwheels.
Add the shredded chicken, crispy bacon pieces, and cheese to a mixing bowl.
Add the cream cheese, mayo, sour cream, and ranch seasoning.
Mix until combined and creamy.
Spread 1/4 of the cream cheese mixture onto one of the tortillas.
Tightly roll the tortilla up and place on a plate, seam-side down. Repeat with the remaining tortillas and filling.
Chill rolls in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes. Slice each roll into 1-inch pieces and serve.
Recipe Tips
- Make sure your cream cheese is room temp – Otherwise, it will be very difficult to mix and spread your filling. I suggest pulling the cream cheese out of your fridge at least an hour before you’re ready to assemble your chicken ranch pinwheels.
- Don’t skip the chilling step! – It’s important to chill ranch pinwheels for at least 15 minutes so that they firm up enough to slice without flattening out.
- Slice with a sharp serrated knife – A knife with “teeth” like a serrated knife is the easiest way to slice chicken and bacon pinwheels.
- Slice right before serving – If you’re making your ranch pinwheels ahead of time, I suggest waiting to slice them until close to serving time. Otherwise, they can dry out.
Recipe Short Cuts
