How Long Is Leftover Ham Good For?

If you want to use your leftover ham to make a new recipe, try to use it within 3-4 days, or freeze it to extend the life of the turkey.

Can you freeze leftover ham meat?

Leftover ham can be frozen for up to 3 months in a regular freezer, or 6 months in a deep freeze, to maintain the best flavor. Leftover ham works very well in the freezer and once thawed it will maintain its flavor and texture well.

If you want to expand the time that you can use your leftover ham, I recommend portioning it into the amount you need for your recipe, then placing it into a freezer bag (to freeze flat) or freezer friendly container and freezing.

To summarize, if you want to make something with your leftover ham this week, you can generally just pop it in the fridge and make sure it is in a sealed container. If you want to make something next week, or next month. Put the ham leftovers into the freezer.
