This Chicken Tender Wrap is fresh, easy, and absolutely delicious! With crunchy chicken tender bites, crisp veggies, cheddar, and ranch dressing all wrapped up in a tortilla, this easy chicken wrap makes the perfect easy lunch or dinner. Plus, you only need around 10 minutes to make it!
Everyone loves a good sandwich, but sometimes I want to switch it up a bit, which is why I LOVE easy chicken wrap recipes. I’ve made other chicken wraps like my Greek Chicken Wraps and a Baja Chicken Wrap, but I wanted to create an ultra family-friendly wrap that I knew my kids (and yours) would love. Honestly, this chicken tender wrap recipe isn’t just for kids, though. It’s one of my faves, too!
I love the classic combo of ranch and chicken tenders, along with cheddar, cukes, tomato, and lettuce. It’s got veggies, it’s got protein … it’s a meal in one!
I love how portable these easy chicken wraps are, too. I whip up a few for the whole family, wrap them in parchment paper or plastic wrap, slip them into a storage bag, and set them inside a small cooler. A few hours later, our picnic or beach day is made!
Why I LOVE this recipe!
- Simple & fast – Just 7 ingredients and 10 minutes to make!
- Full of fresh veggies – This chicken tender wrap is stuffed with lettuce, cucumbers, and tomatoes. The cool veggies taste amazing and add nutrition – win-win!
- Family friendly – This one’s a surefire hit with the kids, but adults love them too.
- Serve one or many – Make 1 or 20! This chicken tender wrap recipe is easily scalable. Whip up one for yourself for lunch or put together a couple of dozen for a crowd.
Ingredients + Substitutions

- Tortillas – Use your favorite large tortilla wrap. I like to use burrito-size flour tortillas. Lavash bread wraps are a delicious option, too.
- Ranch dressing – Pick up your favorite ranch dressing from the store or make your own homemade ranch dressing.
- Chicken tenders – You can make a chicken tender wrap with baked frozen chicken tenders or homemade baked chicken tenders. Or, you can make it a grilled chicken wrap by using grilled tenders instead.
- Lettuce – I like to use shredded iceberg lettuce for my chicken wrap recipes because it’s so crisp and fresh tasting.
- Cheddar cheese – Use mild, medium, sharp, or extra sharp, whichever you prefer.
- Tomato – You’ll want one large fresh tomato, sliced.
- Cucumber – Grab your favorite kind of cucumber. Persian and English cucumbers have thin skin so that you don’t need to peel them before using them. If you use a cucumber with a thicker skin, I recommend peeling them with a vegetable peeler first.
Make sure to see the recipe card at the bottom of this post for the full quantities and ingredients list.
Recipe Variations
If you love this recipe as much as we do and want some quick ways to change it up for variety, these little tips will do the trick!
- Buffalo Chicken Wrap– Toss the chicken tenders in a combo of buffalo sauce and melted butter before adding it to the wrap, then swap the cucumber and tomato for shredded carrots and chopped celery. Use blue cheese instead of cheddar for the full Buffalo experience!
- Chicken Caesar Wrap– Use romaine lettuce and double it, then swap the cheddar cheese for shredded Parmesan. Swap the ranch with caesar dressing.
- Honey Mustard Chicken Tender Wrap– Use honey mustard sauce instead of ranch for a sweet and saucy switch-up.
- Chicken Lettuce Wraps– Swap the tortilla for large, sturdy lettuce leaves such as iceberg or romaine.
- Lower-Carb Chicken Tender Wrap– Swap out the tortilla wrap for a low-carb version (or lettuce as mentioned above), then use chicken tenders without breading for a chicken tender wrap recipe that’s lower in carbs but no less tasty.

Recipe FAQ’s
Is a chicken tender wrap healthy?
Because they are stuffed with veggies and use protein-rich chicken, chicken tender wraps are generally considered healthy. If you prefer a leaner wrap, you can go with grilled or oven-baked chicken tenders with no breading.
Why should I chop my chicken tenders for these wraps?
These chicken tender wraps are much easier to eat with chopped chicken tenders, so I do recommend chopping the chicken into bite-size pieces before adding it to the wrap.
