  • Marry Me Chicken Quiche Recipe

I’m obsessed with this chicken quiche!

I’ve shared a few “marry-me” recipes in the past, like classic Marry Me Chicken and Marry Me Chicken with Tortellini, but this time, I wanted to bring those delicious Tuscan flavors to breakfast and brunch.

I had a hunch that the sun-dried tomatoes, spinach, and cheese typically found in marry-me sauce would be amazing in a quiche, and I’m happy to report I was right! My newest marry me chicken recipe is SO full of flavor – and maybe best of all, it’s incredibly easy to make.

Why I LOVE this recipe!

  • Just 10 minutes prep time – Quiche seems fussy but can actually be really easy to make! This chicken quiche recipe comes together quickly.
  • Special occasion worthy – I love serving this Marry Me Chicken Quiche for showers, Mother’s Day, and more. It’s fancy enough for special occasions yet doesn’t take much time to make, which I love.
  • Hearty and protein-packed – With two great sources of protein, eggs and chicken, this marry-me chicken recipe makes an excellent protein-filled breakfast dish.

What is Marry Me Chicken?

Marry Me Chicken is a viral recipe that is reported to be so good that it brings on marriage proposals. The flavor profile has Tuscan vibes: Sun-dried tomatoes, cream, spinach, Parmesan cheese. It’s divine!

Recipe Notes

This Marry Me Chicken Quiche recipe is as simple as promised! Just 10 minutes hands-on time for a family friendly breakfast or brunch.

In this section I am going to go through a few tips and tricks I use for how to make Marry Me Chicken Quiche to get the absolute best and most delicious results.

Make sure to scroll to the bottom for the FULL recipe card.

Ingredients + Substitutions

Ingredients for Marry Me Chicken Quiche
  • Pie shell – You’ll want one deep-dish pie shell. I find mine in the freezer section at my local grocery store.
  • Chicken – One cup of cooked, diced chicken. This is the perfect recipe for using up the last bit of leftover chicken (especially rotisserie chicken!)
  • Spinach – Fresh baby spinach is my favorite for this marry-me chicken recipe.
  • Sun-dried tomatoes – Look for jarred sun-dried tomatoes packed in oil.
  • Green onions – You’ll need just a couple of green onions (also known as scallions) for this chicken quiche.
  • Mozzarella & Parmesan cheese – Shred your own or grab bags of pre-shredded cheese at the store.
  • Eggs – You’ll need 1/2 dozen large eggs.
  • Heavy cream – For the richest, most delicious quiche.
  • Milk – I like to use whole or 2%.
  • Salt & pepper – To enhance those tasty marry-me flavors!

Make sure to see the recipe card at the bottom of this post for the full quantities and ingredients list.

Recipe Variations

If you love this recipe as much as we do and want some quick ways to change it up for variety, these little tips will do the trick!

  • Crustless Marry Me Chicken Quiche– Increase eggs from 6 to 8 and reduce the milk and cream to 1/3 cup each. Coat a deep-dish pie pan with cooking spray and carefully add the quiche mixture directly to the pan. Bake as directed.
  • Marry Me Quiche– For a vegetarian version of this Marry Me Chicken Quiche, just omit the chicken.
  • Marry Me Turkey Quiche– I love using turkey leftovers in this version! Just swap a cup of cooked, diced turkey in for the chicken.

Recipe Step by Step

I am going to highlight a few key steps in the recipe here, but make sure to jump down to the recipe card for comprehensive instructions on how to make Marry Me Chicken Quiche.

Step 1 of how to make Marry Me Chicken Quiche - mix the eggs, milk, and cream together in a bowl.

Add the eggs, heavy cream, milk, salt, and pepper to a large bowl. Whisk well or beat with a hand mixer until well-combined and bubbly.

Step 2 for how to make Marry Me Chicken Quiche - layer the spinach on the bottom of the pie crust.

Pre-bake the pie crust by placing parchment inside & adding dry beans to keep it from puffing up. Cool then add the spinach.

Step 3 for how to make Marry Me Chicken Quiche - add the chicken, sun-dried tomatoes, and green onions, on top of the spinach.

Top the spinach with the chicken, sun-dried tomatoes, and sliced green onions.

Step 4 of how to make Marry Me Chicken Quiche - add the cheese.

Sprinkle on the mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheeses.

Step 5 of how to make Marry Me Chicken Quiche - pour in the egg mixture.

Slowly pour in the whipped egg mixture.

Step 6 of how to make Marry Me Chicken Quiche - bake until set.

Bake until the center is just set. Cool 20 minutes then serve.

Recipe Tips

  1. Whip the eggs – For the fluffiest quiche, I like to use a hand mixer to beat together the eggs, cream, and milk.
  2. Don’t poke holes in the crust – I know it’s tempting to poke holes in the pie crust before baking it, but please don’t! If you do that, the quiche filling can leak through while baking.
  3. Shield the edges – If the pie crust edges begin to brown too much while baking, use a pie crust shield or strips of foil to cover the edges of the crust and prevent it from burning.

Recipe Short Cuts

If you need to make this recipe, but are extra short on time, here are a few ideas that can help make this recipe even faster!

  • Use pre-shredded cheese – Grab packs of Parm and mozzarella that have already been shredded to save yourself a step.
  • Make it a freezer meal – Quiche freezes really well, so make a couple Marry Me Chicken Quiches and freeze them after baking! See the Freezer Meal Instructions section for full instructions.
  • Blind bake the crust ahead of time – Save yourself a step by prepping the crust ahead of time. Then it’s just a matter of adding the filling and sliding it into the oven.

Ingredients

  • 1 deep dish pie shell, (16 oz)
  • 1 cup diced chicken
  • 2 cups fresh spinach
  • ¼ cup sun dried tomatoes, diced
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper

Instructions

  • Pre-bake the pie crust: Heat the oven to 400˚F. Place parchment in the crust and fill it with dried beans. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven and allow to cool to room temperature.
    Reduce oven temperature to 350˚F.
Note: do not poke holes in the crust. This can allow the egg to leak through if the holes do not completely close during baking. Weighting the crust with beans should prevent the crust from bubbling up and so the holes are not needed.
  • Make the custard: In a medium bowl, add the eggs, heavy cream, milk, salt and pepper. Beat with a whisk or hand mixer until completely combined.
  • Roughly chop the spinach, then place it in the bottom of the pie crust. Layer the chicken, sun dried tomatoes, green onions, and cheese on top of the spinach.
  • Pour the egg mixture over the quiche. Place the quiche on a baking sheet and bake for 45-55 minutes or until the center is just set.
  • Let sit for 20 minutes and serve warm to room temperature. Enjoy!
