Family Meal Plan
– Week 304
*If you make a recipe this week and love it, please consider leaving a rating and comment on the recipe post. It helps to support my blog and makes my day!*
Monday
- Main Dish: Honey Sesame Chicken – We enjoy this simple dish so much. I know when I make this, the kids will ask for it again a few days later!
- Side Dish:
- Sriracha Asian Coleslaw – Make it a complete Asian dinner by serving this spicy slaw with the sweet chicken. Sweet and spicy always compliment each other.
- Rice or Grains – Our preference is jasmine rice, but you can also use brown rice, quinoa, farro, or any other grain your family likes. It’s great to soak up the sweet sauce.
- Spicy Mayo sauce or Yum Yum Sauce – We are big sauce people! Yum Yum sauce is always a hit with the kids, but for adults I think the spicy mayo is amazing.
Tuesday
- Main Dish: Chicken Tender Sliders – Just 10 minutes of prep. These are so good for dinner, but you could also make as an appetizer or for a game day snack. I’m kind of obsessed with sliders, in case you’re just now picking up on that!
- Side Dish:
- Baked Beans w Ground Beef – These are sweet, savory, super hearty and super delicious! They’re done in one pot and are definitely elevated with the few additions we use.
- Deviled Egg Potato Salad – Imagine potatoes and eggs getting married – A potato salad that tastes like your favorite deviled egg? Say no more! You’ll be hooked after just one bite.
Wednesday
- Main Dish: Crock Pot Pork Carnitas – Every week needs a crockpot meal, don’t you think? Set it and forget it carnitas are your answer this week – sounds like taco night to me! *Save your leftovers for a family favorite on Friday!*
- Side Dish:
- Mexican Rice – I’ve seen a few Mexican rice recipes in my time, but my recipe cuts out some laborious steps that just aren’t needed because of my little tricks!
- Black Beans – Canned beans, but make them taste like a restaurant.
- Chips and Salsa – 5 minutes is all it takes to have this salsa ready for dipping or drizzling on your tacos.
Thursday
- Main Dish: BBQ Chicken Bowls – Other than this being a 5 star recipe, it’s also a 5 star prep ahead type of recipe! Makes for such an easy dinner – and cleanup goes faster, too! Make sure to use this 30-Minute BBQ chicken breast recipe.
- Side Dish:
- Homemade Pico de Gallo – You can buy this already made at the grocery store, but it’s so much better made fresh and you won’t regret it.
- Easy Mexican Cornbread – Cornbread goes great when you have any BBQ flavors. This cornbread is to soft – you won’t believe how easy. it is.
Friday
- Main Dish: Carnitas Nachos – Using your carnitas from Wednesday, you’ll have a family favorite on the table in a flash. Nachos are a great way to sneak in veggies and lots of protein. Such an effortless dinner!
- Side Dish:
- Spicy Jalapeno Ranch – Add a drizzle of this to your nachos for a little extra pizzazz.
- Sautéed Peppers and Onions – You can serve these as a side or use as an extra topping.
- Dessert – Cowboy Cookies – Crispy on the edges and chewy on the center and these are the perfect treat!
Appetizer
- Black Bean and Corn Salsa – I love how hearty this dip is. You could even make this ahead and use it with your nachos from Friday and save extra for the big game this weekend.
