Each week, we share a FREE meal plan to help you figure out what’s for dinner! These family meal plans are thoughtfully crafted to give you options for a main dish, and two side dishes for each week day with a special emphasis on meals both kids and adults will enjoy.

Family Meal Plan

Monday

  • Main Dish: Creamy Pesto Tortellini — This is super family friendly and you can easily add a protein like shredded chicken if you want to make it even heartier.
  • Side Dish:
    • No Knead Rolls — Make these ahead of time and you won’t regret it. They don’t need any time to rise, and are perfect to dip into the pesto sauce that’s left on your plate 😋
    • Sautéed Mushrooms with Garlic Butter — You can mix these into your pasta dish, or eat them as a side. They’re so tender and delicious!

Tuesday

  • Main Dish: Baked Potatoes — These are ready in 30 minutes if you use your pressure cooker and they are incredibly fluffy!
    • Bacon — try my Million Dollar Bacon!
    • Chives or green onions
    • Sour Cream
    • Cheddar Cheese
  • Side Dish:
    • Baked Beans with Ground Beef — You can serve as a side or you could even top your baked potatoes with these yummy beans. Either way, it’ll disappear from plates faster than you can ask your family how their day was! **Save extras for Thursdays leftover meals.**
    • Homemade Buttermilk Dressing and Green Salad — Make a quick green salad and this 5 minute dressing for the easiest side dish. If your family is allergic to things that are green, this dressing is amazing with carrots and other little veggies! 😉

Wednesday

  • Main Dish: Creamy Chicken Tortilla Soup — Need the perfect make ahead meal that’s also simple enough to throw together any night of the week? This is it!
    • Toppings — Shredded cheese, crushed tortilla chips or tortilla strips, cilantro, lime juice, pickled jalapeños, diced tomatoes, red onions, sliced avocados, or pico de gallo.
  • Side Dish:
    • Mexican Roasted Vegetables — Quick and easy vegetables are always a go-to on a night like tonight.
    • Mexican Corn Salad — This light and refreshing salad is healthy, delicious, and so easy to make.

Thursday

  • Main Dish: Cowboy Baked Bean Rice Bowls — With your leftovers from Tuesday, add your baked beans to Chipotle Cilantro Lime Rice or Easy Mexican Rice for a satisfying meal bowl.
  • Side Dish:
    • Brown Butter Broccoli —We make this a lot, and you’ll see why. It really goes with everything.

Friday

  • Main dish: Steak with the Easiest Marinade  — This marinade is super flavorful and great for any cut you prefer to grill – strip steak, ribeye, sirloin steak etc. It perfectly tenderizes the meat, too!
  • Side Dish:
    • Wedge Salad — Adults love wedge salads, but kids do too because it looks so special.
    • Garlic Bread — Between the steak, fancy (but simple!) salad and this bread, everyone will think you’ve opened up a steakhouse!
  • Dessert — 3 Ingredient Nutella Brownie —These brownies seriously only need 3 ingredients. They’re basically magical brownies!

Appetizer

  • Million Dollar Dip — Grab some crackers, chips, or veggies and watch this dip disappear!
