How to Serve Asian Turkey Meatballs
These delicious meatballs can be served as an appetizer or a wholesome meal when a few side dishes are added.
How to serve meatballs as an appetizer
When you serve meatballs as an appetizer, you can serve them a few different ways. You can serve them individually on a platter, or they can be kept in a crockpot to stay warm.
- To serve as individual bites: Simply place each meatball on a platter with a toothpick inserted in each meatball.
- To serve in the crockpot: Once the meatballs are done cooking, place the crockpot in the warm method and serve. You will need to stir them every so often to keep the meatballs covered in the sauce.
How to serve meatballs as a meal
If you are making meatballs as a meal just add 1-2 sides to make it a well rounded meal. Here are a few of my favorite sides to serve them with.
- Over Rice- This is one of our favorite ways to eat meatballs. My kids love rice, so any meal with rice they are super excited. Rice is also great because it is a grain you usually have on hand and it’s inexpensive. My families favorite rice is Jasmine rice because it is full of flavor.
- With Potatoes- Potatoes are another great staple we use as a side dish. You could serve the potatoes mashed, fried on the stove, or baked.
- With Zoodles- If you are looking to lighten up the dish or add more vegetables, zoodles is a great option.
- Cauliflower- You can serve cauliflower as a side dish by making it into rice. You could also roast the cauliflower with some garlic and olive oil.
- Roasted Vegetables- I love roasting vegetables because I feel the flavor of the vegetables is so strong. I also love the crispness it gives the vegetable. Some of our favorite veggies to roast are asparagus, green beans, broccoli, carrots, and Brussel sprouts.
- Side Salad- I always love a good side salad. I always love to serve a side salad with dishes like these because the flavors merry so well with dressings like ranch or balsamic vinaigrette. It is a great little extra to add to the meal. You could also do something like this broccoli slaw that would be perfect!
