Family Meal Plan
MONDAY
- Main Dish: Spaghetti and Homemade Marinara – A classic comfort meal that will hopefully make even your pickiest eaters happy! This marinara is so much better than store-bought and only requires a few ingredients. This is also one of those recipes you can double, freeze the extras and have sauce on hand for a later date! *Save your leftover marinara sauce for a meal on Wednesday.*
- Side Dish:
- Side Salad with Creamy Italian Dressing – The perfect salad to go along side your pasta.
- Garlic Bread – This is a special recipe because it includes my homemade garlic bread spread. Yum!
TUESDAY
- Main Dish: BBQ Chicken Casserole – This family friendly meal is so delicious and easy that it will feel too good to be true.
- Side Dish:
- Corn Salsa with chips — perfect for dipping and eating on the side.
- Mashed Potatoes — I love serving the BBQ chicken right over these creamy mashed potatoes that slow cook in your crockpot. This whole meal couldn’t be easier or more delicious!
WEDNESDAY
- Main Dish: Homestyle Meatball Marinara Subs – Meatball subs are made on the regular in my house. These meatballs are very easy to whip up, throw into a Hoagie roll and top with mozzarella cheese and the homemade marinara you made on Monday!
- Side Dish:
- Garlic Parmesan Broccoli – The combination of garlic and parmesan make this broccoli almost addicting…you’ll be going back for seconds!
- Baked Potato Wedges – Who doesn’t love crispy, delicious potato wedges?!
THURSDAY
- Main Dish: Steak Fried Rice – This is lighter and tastier than take-out AND it’s family friendly, so you must try it if you haven’t yet!
- Side Dish:
- Garlic Green Beans — These are a go-to side for me. Quick to make, full of flavor and the clean up is a breeze.
- Spring rolls
- Cucumber Salad — This can be made ahead of time to make tonights prep even smoother!
- Spicy Asian Mayo — I love this as a topping.
FRIDAY
- Main dish: Crockpot Chicken Nachos – At the end of the week, who wants to hang out in the kitchen and cook? Let the slow cooker do the work and let your family choose all the toppings their heart desires.
- Topping Suggestions:
- Homemade Salsa — The BEST.
- Sour cream
- Pico de Gallo
- Guacamole — Are they nachos without guac?
- Cilantro
- Shredded lettuce
- Sliced jalapeños
- Corn Salsa
- Jalapeno Ranch — This is super quick to make and my favorite to add to nachos.
- Side Dish:
- Mexican Roasted Vegetables – Easy way to add some veggies and really round out the meal.
- Cilantro Lime Rice – Tastes just like your fav Mexican restaurant!
- Dessert – Churro Cheesecake Bars — Want to treat your family? Make these bars! These are so easy that you can even have your little ones help you out.
APPETIZER
- Spinach Feta Dip – This dip is perfect for a mid-day snack when you need a little pick me up. I like to serve it with chips, veggies, crackers, pita chips, or pretzels.
