Family Meal Plan

– Week 285

*If you make a recipe this week and love it, please consider leaving a rating and comment on the recipe post. It helps to support my blog and makes my day!*

Monday

  • Main Dish: Salsa Verde Soup – A recipe that requires minimal prep work and the slow cooker does all the work – what a great way to start your week!
  • Side Dish:
    • Buttermilk Cornbread – This classic recipe comes together with 4 ingredients and is the most tender and delicious cornbread ever.
    • Black Beans – You’ll love the method I use to doctor up canned black beans.
    • Toppings:
      • Sour Cream
      • Guacamole – Add a scoop of creamy homemade guac or buy it at the store in a pinch
      • Lime wedges – give a little squeeze over the top before you eat
      • Tomatoes – Fresh tomatoes or Pico de Gallo would be delicious
      • Shredded Cheddar Cheese
      • Tortilla Chips/Strips

Tuesday

  • Main Dish: Green Chile Pork Chops – The creamy, green chile cheese sauce that the pork is smothered in is pure perfection!
  • Side Dish:
    • Cilantro Lime Rice – Your family will probably think you picked up rice from Chipotle with this recipe.
    • Sautéed Peppers & Onions – Love serving the pork chops on top of a bed of peppers and onions!

Wednesday

  • Main Dish: Baked Tortellini – Just four simple ingredients and a few minutes of prep time to make this family friendly dish.
  • Side Dish:
    • Garlic Bread – Everyone loves a classic garlic bread!
    • Brown Butter Broccoli – Browned butter creates the most delicious, rich, flavor that makes this broccoli soooo good!

Thursday

  • Main Dish: Marry Me Chicken – I’m never mad about a one pan, flavor packed, easy meal that I KNOW my kids and husband love!
  • Side Dish:
    • Garlic Parmesan Mashed Potatoes – This is my all time favorite side to serve with this.
    • Side Salad with Lemon Vinaigrette – The dressing is tangy, sweet and it’s making my mouth water thinking about it!

Friday

  • Main Dish:Mediterranean Flatbread with Chicken – 20 minutes to make and it might become an instant favorite!
  • Side Dish:
    • Chickpea Salad – This is a great side dish to make ahead of time. This salad is super simple to make, once all of the chopping is done it comes together in minutes.
    • Pesto Roasted Vegetables – The mouthwatering flavors of pesto and roasted veggies is a winner.
  • Dessert – No Bake Chocolate Peanut Butter Pretzel Bars – These are crazy delicious and best of all requires NO COOKING!

Appetizer

  • Chips and Dip – You can’t go wrong with a classic chips and dip app! Try one of these, or make a platter with jalapeno ranch, pico de gallo, and guacamole surrounded by chips. You can also try these to change up the flavors – my avocado corn salsa, pineapple salsa, corn and black bean salsa, or blender salsa also work super well!
