Family Meal Plan
MONDAY
- Main Dish: One Pan Italian Chicken and Veggies – In just 30 minutes you’ll have a wholesome meal. All you have to do is throw all the ingredients into one pan and let everything cook together. This is the perfect recipe for busy families that don’t have much time to spend in the kitchen. This is already a complete meal, but you can still add sides to bulk it up.
- Side Dish:
- Garlic Cheese Bread – Yes, garlic bread is always the right answer!
- Extra Creamy Mashed Potatoes — The flavor in these is off the charts delicious with the addition of sour cream AND cream cheese!
- Side salad with Balsamic Vinaigrette — Adding a salad is perfect because it isn’t too filling and adds some extra nutritional punch.
TUESDAY
- Main Dish: Homestyle Meatballs and Gravy — This recipe is as easy as opening up a bag of frozen meatballs, but the taste is BETTER and they’re homemade! From start to finish, you only need 30 minutes. Just use your favorite gravy over these meatballs. **Save some extra meatballs for later this week.
- Side Dish:
- Sautéed Green Beans — There is no better way to make your green beans. Green beans go well with everything!
- Side Salad with Buttermilk Ranch —This recipe is a staple in our home! It’s perfect to go along with your homestyle meatballs and gravy.
WEDNESDAY
- Main Dish: Ham Fried Rice – With only a handful of ingredients and a few minutes of prep you can be on your way to a restaurant quality dinner. It seriously tastes better than take out!
- Side Dish:
- Spicy Sriracha Asian Coleslaw — Spice things up a little bit with this creamy, tangy coleslaw recipe. All you need is just a few minutes for this delicious side to come together.
- Homemade Yum Yum Sauce — I recommend serving your rice with this sauce. My kids LOVE it!
- Asian Cucumber Salad with Ginger Soy Dressing — This crunchy and delicious salad takes just 10 minutes of prep and 20 minutes in the fridge!
THURSDAY
- Main Dish: Crockpot Spaghetti Sauce — Remember the homestyle meatballs you made on Tuesday? Let’s create a new meal by covering them with my homemade spaghetti sauce. You may not ever buy jarred sauce again!
- Side Dish:
- Pasta – Spaghetti, linguine, penne, or tortellini
- Garlic Parmesan Roasted Broccoli — These are so irresistible that even your kids will be asking for more.
- Garlic Bread – I know we already had garlic bread this week, but let’s bend the rules a little, ok? You’ll want this bread to wipe your plate clean!
FRIDAY
- Main dish: Chef Salad – After a week of great meals and busy days, let’s keep it light. This salad is hearty and packed with protein so it’s perfect on a Friday when you’re just d.o.n.e.
- Side Dish:
- Easy No Yeast Dinner Rolls — Even on the busiest of nights, these are easy enough to make. Promise!
- Rotini Pasta Salad — This is a great way to really round out your meal. This pasta salad is great because you can add and subtract ingredients without worry to suit your tastes, or what you have available in your fridge. For example, if you think you have enough protein in your chef salad then leave out the pepperoni that is in this rotini salad.
- Dessert – Cinnamon Swirl Cake — Our favorite way to eat this is for dessert with a scoop of ice cream! You can also eat it with your coffee or make it for a brunch.
APPETIZER
- Taco Layer Dip — This is one of those home run appetizers that just about everyone enjoys.
