Easy Homemade Honey Mustard Sauce
Honey mustard is not a flavor that I loved growing up but have come to love it the older I get. I think it all started when I tried my first bite of chick-fil-a sauce….. I was intrigued at the flavor. Little did I know that it was a version of honey mustard sauce.
What I love about this recipe is I know EVERYTHING that was put into it. Some of those sauces are so full of additives that I’m not sure what it is that I am really eating.
How to Serve Honey Mustard Sauce
Honey mustard sauce can be serve with numerous different things but here are a few of my serving suggestions for this crazy good sauce.
- As a Dip- This sauce is really good for using as a dipping sauce for chicken tenders, chicken, steak, or fresh vegetables.
- On a sandwich- This sauce is really good slathered on a sandwich. I find this is paired well with turkey, ham or roast beef.
- In a wrap- Wraps are one of my favorite ways to eat sandwiches…. take some leftover chicken, honey mustard sauce, cheese, greens and veggies.

- Combine all ingredients and mix well.
- I would use a whisk to make sure these ingredients get mixed throughly.
- This recipe is best if made at least an hour before serving. This gives the flavors some time to marinate together before serving.
- Chill until ready to serve! Enjoy.

Can I use greek yogurt in place of sour cream?
Yes you can. The flavor may be altered slightly. I substitute a good portion of my dishes with greek yogurt and no one ever complains.
How to store leftover Honey Mustard Sauce?
The longer this sauce is in the refrigerator the more the flavors come out. You can store this in an air-tight container for up to 4-5 days.

Ingredients
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 tbsp yellow mustard
