Slow whisk in remaining broth and simmer on low until the gravy reaches desired thickness
Notes
Liquid:My method for making pot roast does not require adding liquid before cooking. The sirloin tip roast, and the onion will release liquid as they cook and the lid from the slow cooker keeps the moisture from escaping. You will have plenty of juices in the end without adding additional liquid.Extra gravy:If you want to make extra gravy for the sirloin tip roast, you can add an additional 1 cup of beef broth to the crockpot with the onions. This will give you even more liquid to make gravy with. If you don't plan on making gravy, this ingredient can be omitted.Substitutions:
Onions – Any kind of onions you like or have on hand will work here—yellow, white, sweet, or red. It may look like a lot but they cook down significantly.
