¼teaspoonsalt
6cupsRice Krispies cereal

Instructions
Crush the Oreos into chunky pieces by placing them in a zip top bag and hitting them with a meat mallet or rolling them with a rolling pin.
In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat.
Once melted, add the marshmallows and stir until they are completely melted. Then stir in the vanilla and salt.
Remove from heat and stir in Rice Krispies cereal. Last, stir in the Oreo crumbs.
Spray an 8x8 or 9x9 inch baking dish with cooking spray. Spoon the mixture into the pan, then very gently press with the back of a spatula or greased hands to even them out.
Chill on the table for 20-30 minutes, or in the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes. Then cut them into 12 regular sized treats or 9 large Krispie treats.
Notes
Substitutions:
Mini marshmallows: If you only have full-size marshmallows, those will work, too. They will take longer to melt, however, and you'll want to melt them over low heat so they don't overcook.
How to Store: Cover with plastic wrap or place in an airtight storage container and store at room temp. How to Freeze: This Oreo Rice Krispie Treats recipe freezes well. See “how to freeze” section in the original post for full instructions. How to Scale: ex. This recipe can easily be doubled if you are feeding a crowd (I suggest scaling up to a 9x13 pan) or halved for smaller portions.
