Ingredients
2cupsall-purpose flour
1tablespoonbaking powder
1tablespoonsugar
½teaspoonsalt
2tablespoonscold butter
Instructions
Combine flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. Mix.
Use a microplane, or the fine side of a grater, and grate the butter into the flour mixture.
Toss the butter in the flour mixture and work with a fork until the butter is incorporated into the mix.
Notes
To make biscuits with homemade bisquick:
Combine this mix with 2/3 cup milk and 1 tablespoon vegetable oil.
Mix to make a dough. Drop 8 rounded spoonfuls on a baking sheet.
Bake at 450˚F for 10-12 minutes or until cooked through.
To make pancakes with homemade bisquick:
Combine this mix with 1 cup of milk, 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, and 2 eggs.
Pour 1/4 cup on a hot greased skillet or griddle.
Cook for about 90 seconds, then flip and finish cooking on the other side.
To make dumplings with homemade bisquick:
Combine this mix with 2/3 cup milk.
Drop spoonfuls into boiling soup.
Reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 10 minutes.
Cover and continue to cook for 10 additional minutes.
