Ingredients
4cupsshredded or diced chicken
6ouncescream cheesesoftened
1/2cupsour cream
10.5ouncescream of chicken soup(1 can)
1tablespoonchicken base
6green onionsdiced
8ozcolby jack cheese
1/4cupcrispy crumbled baconor more (see notes)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350˚F.
Combine the shredded chicken, cream cheese, sour cream, cream of chicken soup, chicken base and green onions in a large bowl and mix completely.
Transfer to 2 quart casserole dish and top with shredded cheese and crumbled bacon.
Bake uncovered for 40-50 minutes or until the edges are bubbling and the cheese is melted and starting to brown.
Garnish with additional green onions and serve warm.
Notes
Optional: You can add additional crispy crumbled bacon in with the chicken mixture if you love bacon flavor. I prefer my bacon crispy, so I only add it on top, but if you want extra bacon flavor feel free to add up to an additional 1/2 cup cooked crumbled bacon in the casserole and top with 1/4 cup bacon.
